Customizable Mongolian Gers
At LOTUS YURTS we have five different yurts to choose from and, in addition, any size may be custom ordered. All of our yurts come with inner decorative wall fabric, natural wood lattice walls, organic wool felt insulation, waterproofing layer, cotton canvas layer, decorative cotton outer layer, all straps, horse hair ropes, hand painted or natural wood rafters and Toono (circular opening at the top). We also include local delivery in B.C. and setup assistance for a minimal charge. In addition, wood stove and flue pipe are available for an extra charge with all of our yurts.
We recommend a platform to keep your yurt off the ground; this can be made of wood, cement or poured concrete with a heated floor. Our team can build this according to your requirements at an additional cost to cover materials and labour.
20 foot Yurt

This is the most popular and useful size in a traditional Mongolian Ger. This yurt offers the perfect proportions for a comfortable livable space along with the best efficiency for warmth. All parts of this structure have been carefully hand crafted by one of Mongolia’s finest craftsmen. These yurts take approximately one month to complete.
The 20 foot yurt can be used as a home or a small restaurant, a yoga studio, or a guest house...the possibilities are endless!
This yurt accommodates 30 people standing, 20 people sitting, and sleeps up to 8 people comfortably.
30 foot Yurt

The 30 foot yurt can be used as a beautiful permanent home, a large studio or guest accommodation, or even as a good sized restaurant.
Also, this larger yurt is great for events, meditation and yoga retreats and whatever else your imagination can come up with!
This yurt easily accommodates 60 people standing, 40 people sitting and 15 people sleeping comfortably.
9 foot Yurt

The 9 foot yurt can be used as a children's playhouse or a washroom, or even as a nice small bedroom. This is our smallest, most compact yurt.
This yurt accommodates 6 people sitting, and 3 people sleeping side by side.
12 foot Yurt

The 12 foot yurt makes a great bedroom, or a nice washroom or a cozy studio or work space. This size yurt is often used for storage in Mongolia and it can be placed beside a larger yurt as an extra living or storage space.
This yurt accommodates 8 people sitting, and 4 people sleeping.
14 foot Yurt

The 14 foot yurt is the smallest yurt that offers enough space for living a zen-like minimalist lifestyle. Due to its compact shape, this is a very energy efficient yurt.
This yurt accommodates 12 people standing, 10 people sitting and 5 people sleeping comfortably.
